Many families cannot afford the hefty price tag of doing laundry at a laundromat. For those who do not have washing machines at home, having clean clothes for their kids and themselves to wear can be a real challenge. Lack of clean clothes can even hinder kids from going to school and parents from keeping jobs.

Saving Suds is a local ministry started to provide quarters and laundry soap Spin City Laundromat (4420 Lincoln Way) from 4-7 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. St. Andrew's Lutheran Church carries out this ministry at Squeaky Clean Coin Laundromat (517 Lincoln Way) the third Thursday of the month from 4-7 p.m.
