Faith formation doesn't end with confirmation. It's a lifelong journey, and it's better with companions. Voyagers is Bethesda's adult forum, where we explore scripture, wrestle with the questions of our time, and learn from one another along the way. Whether you've studied the Bible for decades or are just starting to open it, there's a seat for you at the table.

What We Explore

Voyagers studies run in units, so there's always a natural place to jump in. Over the course of a year, you might find us:

• Diving into scripture. We spend several weeks with a single book, like the urgent, fast-moving Gospel of Mark or Paul's rich and challenging letter to the Romans, so we can read it in context and hear it with fresh ears.
• Engaging the world around us. We look at contemporary issues such as immigration, anti-racism, and the trouble in Israel–Palestine through the lens of faith. These are hard topics, and we approach them with honesty, humility, and respect for one another.
• Living out our faith. Topical studies on themes like stewardship, Advent and Lent, science and technology, and our Lutheran identity help us connect what we believe on Sunday with how we live Monday through Saturday.

You don't need to have the answers, or even agree with everyone in the room. Curiosity and an open heart are all you need.

Grab a coffee and a donut hole or two after worship and join us. Most studies are also available on Zoom, so you can participate from wherever life takes you.
