Living Last Supper

Before worship on Maundy Thursday, April 17th, the congregation was invited to experience a Passover Seder Meal,
prepared by Mark Weber and the kitchen crew, that we presented as a Living Last Supper. The Living Last Supper Play
comes from the New Testament Books- Matthew 26: 17-29, Mark 14:13-25, Luke 22:7-38, and John 13:1-38. This unique
event allowed us to travel back in time and witness Jesus speaking to us in traditional Hebrew for some prayers and the rest
in English as predetermined volunteers from the congregation made up our cast of Jesus and the apostles. We enjoyed the
Last Supper with Jesus and the apostles as we ate lamb, charoset (walnuts, apples, raisins, cinnamon, honey, and wine), bitter herbs (white horseradish), parsley, hard-boiled eggs, matzah crackers, and wine.
Our cast was:
• Narrator - Pastor Bryan
• Jesus - Steve Woolery (yes, he speaks Hebrew!)
• Apostles - Chris Brakke, Glenn Ripke, Seth Smyth, Scott Smyth, Larry Otteman, Jim Nelson, Gage Kelly, Arnie Cowan, Deb Fennelley, Duane Huffer, Jim Stewart, and Carole Otteman.
Kitchen Crew:
Mark Weber, Carolyn Ahlstrom, Darlene Schmidt, Jim and Jeannie Stewart, Tamara Pfantz, Kendra Gustafson, Jan Melby, Yamilet Cachan, Jessica Wonderlich, Lise McKillop, Halle Rollins, Duane Huffer, Larry Otteman, Ally and Evan Smyth and Jan Hove.
Thank you so much to the volunteers and the congregation who made this event possible. Your support and participation were instrumental in making it a success.
