Linda Fevold
Database Coordinator
I grew up on a farm south of Beaman, Iowa which is north of Marshalltown. I worked for 15 years in the laboratory field hospital: clinical, and veterinary research. I decided I did not want to be a Lab Technician the rest of my life and returned to school at ISU where I received my BBA with an emphasis in MIS. I have had many jobs in the Information Technology arena from implementation of a statewide Immunization Registry, System Administrator, Project Manager, and Oracle Database Administrator. In July of 2018, I retired for Iowa Dept. of Transportation where I was the Senior Oracle DBA for 12 years. I could not quite see myself being retired I started looking for a part time job. The Bethesda Database Coordinator was the perfect fit for me, and I believe my skill set will be an asset for Bethesda. One of my favorite things about Bethesda is the people but I love the vitality that I am seeing in the congregational life. My family were members of Bethesda from 1990-1999 so it felt like coming home when I started working here in August.
My husband John and I have been married for almost 35 years. We live in Story City and have three children and two grandsons. Our oldest is from India and lives in Appleton, WI, a daughter that is a 3rd year Veterinary Student at ISU, and youngest is in Fargo, ND finishing her Master’s in Meat Science at NDSU. Our 6 and 7-year-old grandsons live in Mingo, Iowa with their mother. I can’t forget about my sweet puppy, Rane. She is a Shichon (Shih Tzu and Bichon cross) and brings lots of joy and laughter to our house.
